PostSubject: Lowering a 72 beetles suspension, advice needed.   Tue 28 Aug 2007, 11:18 am

Hi im a complete novice. I was thinking of lowering my 72 beetles suspension as currently it is standard very high up , not so cool.

I have looked for guides on the net etc without any luck.

Can anyone tell me how to or link me to a good guide?

Thanks

you can buy a brand new beam with the adjusters already in or buy the adjusters and completely dismantle cut and weld them in to your old beam, i brought my beam from coolair it cost 135 quid but my old one was rotten so had to have it,

dropped spindles give a much nicer ride than a adjustable beam though, a little more pricey i think but much nicer ride.. Or you could go the way of my brown one. 2" dropped spindles AND an adjustable beam wound all the way down, boy that made for an interesting ride.
