probably on a sticker on the cambelt cover on the side of the head? ususally accompanied by a barcode.......

or it may well be stamped on the block somewhere..... or infact - on ur logbook...as it'll deffo be on there!!!

or ring up vw dave and quote either your reg or chassis or engine numbers that youll find on your log book

or on a mk4 forum.

Mines stamped on the head on a machined area, but thats a 1.8t.

im still waitin for the log book to come through. ill look on the block tomorrow. thanks guys

im takeing it out, and the enginearing firm behind my mums house is drilling the bolts out of the block and makein the braket like the one on dieselgeek website cuz i couldnt get hold of them to order one,

engine is pretty much out now just cant get the exaust of ive undone the bolts but still seems solid but id had enough by then, and gotta dissconect drive shafts, then wait for jason to bring hoist! he was going to today but he didnt so hopefully he will pop round tomorow with it! lol

engines out took it up the road they've made my braket got it back today and just waitin to get the cambelt done so i can put it back in!!!!! c'mon
