well here she is when i bought it ...



crystal lights all round, have some 50mm lowering springs and shocks to
fit and then hopefully some deep dish alloys (Y) oh and getting
her detailed and the paint work is really grimey after being stood for
8 years.

man that is some dirrrrrrty paintowrk, lol. must be low mileage example if its been stood that long? any more pics? keep us updated.......

yeah the paint work is shockin haha. its done 126k so must have been used a fair bit before it got sorn.

Needs a few things doing to the interior, like head lining, drivers seat and front door crads, have a few old pics below ...

this is the exhaust thats going on



lovely mouldy door cards



headligning before i removed it all



Drivers seat (all the other seats are spotless)



new rear lights but not sure i like them

i like them, suit it!!! paintwork sure looks a bit better, ha ha

might be able to sort ui a headlining out in a couple of weeks from a black gti? not sure yet though!

Now the driver has gone im going to concentrate on getting the mk2 gti
on the road, will be buying all new brakes, dizzy, leads, air filter,
sparks etc and see how it goes Smile

Down an out sticker is a must Smile



can see the grime on the bonnet ... dont really want to T cut it tho as
it will scratch the hell outta it so not sure what to do



polished the front wing, rear quatre and boot as they didnt have 'grime' on them. ... came out well i think Smile

cant u get a tin of panel wipe from a car paint shop or summit, and panel wipe the car first to remove said "grime" and then t cut and polish it???

Thinking of a dark matt green or grey ... will see after she has been detailed Very Happy

did a few small jobs today like re-aligning the front bumper, has been
annoying me for ages, also did a few coats of kiwi boot polish ...
almost looks new Laughing

de wiperd the back earlier today and also the radio areial





Future plans. ..

Lower 50/60mm
BBS RMs (not splits)
Fit stainless exhaust system (have the twin pipe back box)
Replace both rear badges with black ones
Get her detailed and get her on the road muhahahahaha :smiley:
